Mods and Tools

Every mod I use in my game, as well as third-party tools to support it. Some mods are swapped out on occasion if I get bored or don’t want to use them anymore. Each link takes you to the source (Tumblr, MTS, etc).

Scans Sims 2 Downloads folder to see if any mods conflict with each other and gives instructions on potential fixes

Adds Sims 3 traits as objects to inventories; requires mod subsets to work; includes collection file

Object that adds random traits to any Sim on current lot

Buy Mode modded object enabling Sims to edit appearance, family ties, enact cheats, etc.

Runs checks for wants and fears to make sure they’re appropriate; do not use if using Traits Project

Comes in various flavors regarding the Rod Humbl NPC; makes the computer he drops off buyable from the catalog (the version I have stops him from appearing and delivering the computer)

Mod enabling kids to get cereal from fridges using the stepstool to perform the animation

Enables shifting of furniture similar to how wall hangings can be shifted from AL EP; “many functional objects remain usable even if animations don’t line up”; works for custom and default items

Fixes specific Maxis chairs to allow Sims to use them in 45-degree angles when they otherwise couldn’t

High chairs can be accessed from the sides and maids will also clean them if the only way to access is from the side

Correctly flags M&G “Frame of Preference” as an arch (was previously marked as a door)

Enables Sims to complete a painting in about an hour

Recognizes custom sectionals and booths as such

Fixes issues with networking opportunities and OFB job opportunities

Fixes glitch where Sims can “steal” an MP3 player from another Sim + other fixes

Adds cameras to Buy Mode (includes collection file); adds polaroid functionality + an option to use cell phone as a camera (I replaced mine with the one from LordCrumps’s Comfy Gamer Kit conversion)

Affects matchmaker and/or Garden Club member; can still appear if called

Hobby instructors will not spawn outside of hidden hobby lots
